Just FYI, I've started a blog under the pen name I'll be using as I move towards publishing more adult works than The Line series: http://annbenjamin.wordpress.com/ Or my facebook group for my nom de plume, Ann Benjamin: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Ann-Benjamin-Author/341252325902871 However, if you need some marching stuff, there's always the Tumblr I run dedicated to the marching arts: http://marchingartsphotos.tumblr.com/ Hope all is well!

As it's been close to a year, it felt time to update the ol' DA journal. Major news: 1.  New book published, Confessions of a Teenage Band Geek (yay first person!).  Find it in a lot of places, but always good to start on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Courtney-Brandt/e/B002BLOXRM/ref=sr_ntt_srch_lnk_2?qid=1320480177&sr=8-2 2.  Moved to Qatar (only 'Q' country in the world!) 3.  Started a Tumblr account and am closing in on 1500 followers.  It's an addiction!  Find me here: http://marchingartsphotos.tumblr.com/ 4.  Finished a second draft (finally!!) of a big project. 5.  Am currently 56K into a NaNo attempt...hope to finish an rough dra

The end.

So, here it is: the end of an era.  The Line series is complete and published. I'm not sure where or how I thought things were going to go, but the journey has been a pretty spectacular one. For a self taught, self-published author, I can't say there are many changes I would make in the process. While I could've waited and maybe ended up going the traditional publishing route, I'm glad I didn't.  I've met amazing people (in person or virtually) in the past four years and this series has given me a specific goal to work towards. With a few last things to do (mostly, get all the books available on Nook and iPad), it will be bittersweet to fin

I've heard about your YA marching band novel series before I realized that you were on dA! I would love to read it when my mother will let me order from Amazon

And I'm discussing with my fellow newsletter mates about interviewing you :) So stay tuned.
Thanks! I'll have a new book (my last marching novel) coming out this Fall, so I would love to talk to you! :)
Great! I'll try my best to write up some interview questions. Do you want to answer them through note?
Either that or send me a note and I'll give you my e-mail - whichever is easiest for you. :)

Thank you kindly for the fav! :la:
Thanks for the fav!
Your books are really nifty! My friend is getting me the series for Christmas. :) It's really cool. You inspired me to do indoor percussion and I got bass 1 (for outdoor I'm a clarinet) and it's really great!
